Urban Address is a boutique residential collaboration between the partners at WiRED Ventures and Studio Dwell Architects. It will include a series of innovative and distinctive single-family and multi-family homes.

Our mission is bold yet simple: We will set the bar for boutique modern residential development.

At Urban Address-1530 Jackson we have created six truly unique modern residences in a sophisticated, intimate, four-story, cantilevered building. Privacy and intimacy are extolled in this building that provides for elevator access to six residences with virtually private step-off lobbies (2 units/floor). Homes range from an outstanding private entry one-bedroom and den with an unbelievable 546 square feet of outdoor space including a delicious private backyard (Unit 203) to a bi-level three bedroom/loft with private rooftop access and a two-car garage (Unit 301). All residences include heated, secure parking (one stall per bedroom).

In the modern spirit of “less is more,” each Urban Address home will look and feel substantially larger than units with more square footage. We achieve this because our design team understands what it means to provide you with superior space while focusing on filling rooms with natural light and outstanding inside/outside living. Our light-filled oversized terraces offer dramatic entertainment opportunities, averaging over 300 square feet (more than 3x the market average) plus we have reserved fully 2,500 square feet to a glamorous landscaped interior light court. Homes will be appointed with hardwood floors, euro/modern kitchens, floor to ceiling glass, continuous cedar on specified interior walls and wonderful media rooms and bathrooms. Each buyer will also be provided up to ten hours of private design time with the Studio Dwell design team to customize his/her home.

While we are respectful of modern design and its history, we also know that modern design - when done badly (and it often is) - can be chilly and not conducive to the warmth and functionality we all crave in a well designed home. Studio Dwell Architects understands better than anyone what it means to deliver warm modern design - which is much easier said than done.

The Urban Address team understands that when you drive up to your home you want it to be glowing with warm light and appointed with an infusion of warm contrasting materials, which explains why you will see us use a sophisticated palette of contrasting simple materials including polished masonry, floor to ceiling glass, and the Studio Dwell signature use of cedar (which we love), both exterior and continuous into the interior.

All of this begins with a clear vision and attention to detail about how we live. We are dedicated to the belief that the design of residential spaces, when planned and executed well, positively impacts our relationships with each other and fosters a sense of community. Above all, we believe in the value of community.

Boutique to us is a cherished ideal because it allows our teams to focus on delivering consistently outstanding results to a few select clients. We don’t have to be all things to all people, which in our view often leads to the cookie cutter approach we see in the vanilla-boxing of our cities. Our developments, whether they are six residences in a single building or individual single-family homes, allow us to cater to your desire for identity, intimacy and well-designed urban living.
